Ribbit Rogue Dice Tier List
Keep the job. Forge the rest. Cut the souvenir.
A Ribbit Rogue die is six bets you take every time it is one of the four you roll. This list ranks named dice from official screenshots and recorded play, then ranks jobs for everything else in the 100-plus pool. Read it with forging open. A rank assumes you will swap at least one face.
S — engines and finishers
Claymore (five stars). Official chest art shows a 16, several might/fist faces, and small pips. If you concentrate the 16 and the might onto one cube and exile the 1-pip jokes, this is a boss die. Raw, it is a lottery. Forge it the same node you take it if you can.
Twin-heavy attack dice. The boss Twin Die is the actual S-tier cube: extra reroll, Twin that fires three times. Any normal die that already rolls Twin on a fat number belongs next to it. Nunchucks in playthroughs (“plus five if first die used”) are Quick S-tier when you actually spend them first. See combat.
Blank Die (boss reward). S if you keep blanks on purpose. F if you still think blanks are accidents. Pair with Spirit Jar.
A — always employable
Rapier (four stars). Screenshot net: 15, 14, 13, 12, a 2, and a blank. That is an A-tier kill die after the blank moves out. Before the swap, it is a B that will brick a boss turn.
Kite shield / buckler. Boring block is how you live through a 17 telegraph. A shield die with no blank is worth more than a four-star curiosity. Keep one in the ten until the run is over.
Quarterstaff. Starter-adjacent, readable, easy to merge. A-tier on the Hero because you understand it. Cut it only when a Rapier or Claymore has already been forged.
Hatchet. Early attack job. Merge duplicates. Do not hold two hatchets and a Rapier — that is three kill dice and no block.
B — matching-pool specialists
Cursed Ring (four stars). Shop art: blanks, an 18 shield, an 11, up arrows. B if you have a forge or Blank Die. D if you roll it raw on Depth. The 18 shield is real; the blanks are a tax.
Shuriken / precision / multi. Good into packs (crabs, goblin pairs). Weaker into a single 350 HP golem unless you also have a finisher.
Flail (cleave + thorns). B into Ursa Twins and any two-body fight. C into a duel if the rest of the pool already cleaves.
Power tome / “next die stronger.” B in a Slow/Quick pile where order is planned. C in a random four-card slam.
Mage robes, cloak, boots. Armor and utility. B when they carry rerolls, combo, or no dead faces. C when they are fashion.
Guitar. Playthroughs call it a little of everything. That is a B-tier identity crisis. Strip the one face you need and cut the rest.
Opal circlet. Early block/heal option in demo rewards. B as a third job, C as your only defensive plan.
C — projects
Any four-star or five-star die whose net shows two or more prohibited (circle-slash) faces. Those slashes are blanks. They are not “high roll potential.” They are missed combat actions. Take them only when the next node is a forge or when a relic pays for blanks.
Cut
- A second shield when you already block the average telegraph.
- A heal die when the Hero’s post-battle refund already covers chip damage and you are not fighting a boss.
- Anything you cannot name a job for in one word: kill, block, heal, engine.
Job table for unnamed dice
Steam has far more than the named set. Rank an unnamed die by asking:
| Job | You want | You do not want |
|---|---|---|
| Kill | One cube with the big numbers | Big numbers spread across four cubes |
| Block | A face that answers the modal telegraph | Block that only appears with a blank |
| Heal | Mid-fight, not only post-battle | Heal as your only plan vs 17 damage |
| Engine | Twin, Quick, Slow, crit payoffs | Keywords you never sequence |
If the die fails the table, Skip (+20G). Herc will sell you a job. The relic list will not save a pool of souvenirs.
Depth modifier
On Swamp Depth, move every C down one. Gold is scarce. A project die is a shop you can no longer afford. A-tier shields move up because telegraphs hurt more. The build guide shows how to lock a job trio before you climb.
Stars are a warning label, not a trophy. Roll the net with Ctrl Info, then rank the faces you will actually spend.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is Claymore always the best die?
No. It is S after you forge the 16 and might faces together. Raw, the small pips waste boss turns.
Should I take Cursed Ring from Herc?
Take it if you can forge the blanks off or if you own a blank-payoff relic. Otherwise buy a clean shield.
Do rarity stars equal tier?
No. Stars are drop rarity. Tier is whether the six faces do a job after one forge visit.
Where do I learn the keywords on a new die?
Ctrl Info on the net, Shift inspect in combat, then the combat guide for Quick, Slow, and Twin.
