Ribbit Rogue Tier List Hub

Rank the faces you keep, not the stars on the chest.

Tier List Hub

Tier lists in Ribbit Rogue are a routing tool, not a religion. A five-star Claymore with three blanks can be worse than a two-star kite shield that always blocks the telegraph. This hub ranks jobs, then names the dice and relics that do those jobs in Steam 1.0. It is built from official screenshots, the 0.4 relic list, launch coverage, and demo VODs — not from a private datamine. If a name is not on a screenshot or a patch note, it is not invented here.

Open the dice tier list when a chest asks you to cut. Open the relic tier list at every level-up. Open the build guide when the pool finally has an identity. Then go back to forging because a rank is only real after the anvil.

How these ranks work

  • S — changes the run if you can feed it. Twin engines, crit-on-everything, forge-at-camp.
  • A — always useful. Clean attack faces, fat shields, reroll banks.
  • B — good in a matching pool. Blank-payoff relics, odd/even coins, start-of-battle might.
  • C — a project. High rarity, high blanks, no forge plan.
  • Cut — takes a slot from a die that already works.

Rarity stars in the UI are not the tier. Rapier at four stars with a 15 and a blank is A after a swap and C before it. Claymore at five stars is S if you concentrate the 16 and the might faces, B if you roll it raw.

What we can actually name

Dice on official art: Rapier, Claymore, Cursed Ring, plus playthrough names such as quarterstaff, kite shield, buckler, hatchet, opal circlet, nunchucks, shuriken, mage robes, flail, guitar, power tome, cloak, boots.

Relics on screenshots and patch notes: Spirit Jar, Fine Cutlery, Cracked Sword, Skull, Medkit, Amulet, Spare Pouch, Hand Lens, Pill, Pocket Watch, Floppy Disk, Empty Hourglass, Trick Coin (Heads/Tails), Blacksmith Hammer, plus boss Twin Die and Blank Die.

Characters: the Hero (green frog, post-battle heal), a wizard-hatted frog, and an armored frog. Starting relics differ. Rank relics with a character, not against a vacuum. See characters.

How to use a rank in a real chest

  1. Name the job you are missing (kill, block, heal, engine).
  2. Take the highest rank that does that job.
  3. If two options share a rank, take the one with fewer blanks.
  4. If every option is off-job, Skip (+20G) and go to Herc.
  5. If you took a project die, the next map node should be a forge, not an elite.

Launch-week honesty

Steam 1.0 is days old. These lists will move when the community names the rest of the 120 relics. They will not move because a streamer got lucky with a guitar. Until then, treat S as “plan the run around this” and C as “only if the forge is next door.” Pair every pick with combat literacy or the rank is a sticker on a coffin.

Swamp Depth does not change the order as much as it changes the cost of a bad C pick. Gold is tighter. Shop prices are higher. A vanity five-star is more expensive. The same hub applies; you just skip more often.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are these official Ribbit Rogue rankings?

No. They are a fan wiki compiled from Steam art, patch notes, and recorded play. Always test on your seed.

Why is a five-star die not always S tier?

Stars are rarity, not coherence. Blanks and off-keyword faces need a forge. Rank the job, then the die.

Should I follow the list on Swamp Depth?

Yes, more strictly. Depth taxes gold, so Skip and shop for the job instead of gambling on a pretty C-tier chest.
